David Walliams wants 'normal' baby name

Written By Unknown on Jumat, 30 November 2012 | 23.37

British funnyman David Walliams has vowed to shun the celebrity trend for unusual baby names.

The Little Britain star and his model wife Lara Stone are preparing to become first-time parents, and the 41-year-old funnyman admitted that their baby won't be given an odd name.

Speaking to Alan Carr, Walliams said: "It's very hard because you have got a long time to think about it. But it's a bit of a curse if you're called Apple or Peaches or something like that. I think we are just going to go with a normal name."

Walliams further explained that he is thrilled about becoming a father, adding: "I'm really excited about it because I've been writing children's books and you get to that age when a lot of your friends have kids and you start thinking, 'When's it going to happen to me?' It's lovely, it's a wonderful thing. We were just thinking about it now we're married and I'm quite old - I'm 41 - so I thought I better get on with it."

He adds of his wife: "Lara is great. I think that a woman is never more beautiful than when she is pregnant."

Jackman to reprise Wolverine role

Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role of Wolverine in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The Australian actor is currently in talks to star in director Bryan Singer's sequel to X-Men: First Class, which was a prequel to the trilogy of M-Men films that featured Jackman as Wolverine.

Days of Future Past is based on Chris Claremont's 1981 storyline that switches between the 'present day' and an alternate future in which mutants are held in internment camps.

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen have already signed up to reprise their respective roles of Professor X and Magneto and producers are desperate to add Jackman to the cast.

Watch: The Hardy Bucks Movie trailer

Written By Unknown on Rabu, 28 November 2012 | 23.37

Watch an exclusive trailer from the highly anticipated Hardy Bucks Movie on RTÉ TEN and find out what star Eddie Durkan had to say about their big screen debut.

Speaking about making the movie, the self-proclaimed leader of the 'Bucks, told RTÉ TEN that it was a no-brainer for his gang of lads. He said: "If Danny Dyer can make movies then The Hardy Bucks can make movies. It is as simple as that."

The movie was filmed over the summer during the Euros and followed Eddie and the 'Bucks as they made the journey to Poland in a caravan. Eddie revealed: "It wouldn't have been the most luxurious exodus now in fairness. There was a bit of help from my Uncle Mick and we used a Toyota Hiace. She was on her last legs; she was about to calf."

You can watch the trailer by clicking the link on your left.

He added: "It was very cramped. We furnished it with hay and straw just to throw the lads in the back. It was like what the old fella did in London in the 60s. It was no different.

"Sure people are spoilt these days with mod-cons like plumbing and electricity and beds and stuff, you know. We were just living the good life on the road. Real men, farting in the van."

Speaking about old foe The Viper, who the 'Bucks met on their travels, Eddie said: "Funny how you get on with people when you are outside the town like, you know.

"I have often said in the past he is reptilian in his movements. He has the mind of a Komodo dragon: he will bite you and come back later on when you are infected to finish you off. He is sly. Slimey, sneaky b*****d so he is.

"But we had to get on. And as bad as he is, Mayo men, you stick together when you are abroad, you know. As my mother would say, you stick together like sh*t to a blanket."

And when Eddie was asked how he would describe their onscreen adventure to fans, he said: "It would be more American Pie than [Life of] Pi, however you are going to have a good ol' time watching it."

The Hardy Bucks Movie is out on February 22. You can watch the trailer by clicking the link on your left.

Two and a Half Men star says sorry

Actor Angus T Jones has apologised for the video that was released of him criticising his TV show Two and a Half Men.

In a statement to Us Weekly, the 19-year-old, who plays Jake Harper, said: "I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear.

"Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past 10 years who have become an extension of my family.

"Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date.

"I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.

"I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.

"I apologise if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that."

Homeland star 'lost in Brody's accent'

Homeland star Damian Lewis has joked that he can't drop the American accent he uses in Homeland.

In an interview with GQ magazine the British actor said that playing American soldier-turned-terrorist Nicholas Brody has affected his real-life speech pattern.

"At this point, I don't know what accent will come out when I order coffee in the morning," Lewis joked.

Lewis added that the brooding he's noted for while playing Brody often makes him appear more intense than he is in reality.

"I know it looks like I'm thinking deep thoughts on the show, but I'm probably just trying to remember my next line," he joked.

Lewis added: "[Brody is] a lot of fun to play because he behaves badly in extremis."

The actor recently signed a new five-year deal to play Brody which guarantees a total of seven seasons of Homeland.

Homeland airs tonight (Tuesday) on RTÉ Two.

Victoria Pendleton has become the seventh contestant to be eliminated from this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Pendleton and professional partner Brendan Cole were placed in the bottom two with Michael Vaughan and professional partner Natalie Lowe after the judges' scores and viewers' votes were combined.

After the dance-off, in which Pendleton and Cole danced the salsa and Vaughan and Lowe danced the Argentine tango, three of the four judges chose to save the latter couple.

Craig Revel Horwood, said: "Well this couple completely smashed it and I thought they were fantastic, Michael and Natalie."

Darcey Bussell said: "Yes, I am going save Michael and Natalie."

Bruno Tonioli added: "I am going to save the best performance, and that came from Michael and Natalie."

Head judge Len Goodman said he agreed with them.

Pendleton, who had the lowest judges' score on Saturday night with 21 out of 40, said of her time on the show: "It's been so much fun. I have loved every second of it. It pushed me totally out of my comfort zone which I think you really need to do in life.

"Brendan has been fantastic, the people behind the scenes here - the hair, make-up. I love the costumes. It's been a fantastic experience."

Cole said: "It's been an emotional roller-coaster but I said from the start I was so excited to be paired with Victoria and I haven't changed my mind. She has been a diamond to work with.

"What a girl. She is the pride of the nation and I couldn't be happier or prouder of you for the way you have attacked it."

More drama ahead for Love/Hate's Tommy

Things got even more complicated for Love/Hate's Tommy (Killian Scott) in the drama last night after he became involved with Georgina (Eve Macklin), the wife of IRA gang boss Dano played by Jason Barry.

Tommy is already dealing with the fall-out from his girlfriend Siobhan's rape and the subsequent murder of Dano's father Git, while also carrying on a doomed relationship with drug addicted prostitute Debbie played by Susan Loughnane.

"The Georgina thing really actually took me by surprise when it happened," Scott told RTÉ TEN on the set of the hugely successful Dublin crime drama adding that it's a really bad idea for Tommy considering who Dano is.

He continued "in many ways it's so dysfunctional, all their relationships are dysfunctional, we are all off doing other things as a distraction from actually potentially engaging with our partners."

Speaking about the scene where Darren (Robert Sheehan)apparently risked his life to show up at Siobhan's birthday party hinting at a possible future storyline between the two he said "Darren is another problem because that one was kind of an unexpected cause of concern, I didn't see that coming. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of 13 dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever... Gollum.

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of ingenuity and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities... A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

Tributes flood in for Larry Hagman

Written By Unknown on Minggu, 25 November 2012 | 23.37

Tributes have been flooding in for Dallas star Larry Hagman who passed away on Friday following complications from his battle with cancer.

His co-stars past and present have paid tribute to the much-loved actor who electrified a generation of television audiences as TV bad guy JR Ewing.

Linda Gray who played JR's long-suffering wife Sue Ellen Ewing in Dallas said: "So sad to lose such a wonderful dear bigger than life friend. Larry Hagman was one of a kind and will be with us all forever. Thank you all for the love you have been sending about Larry's passing. He was a true icon loved by so many."

A clearly emotional Patrick Duffy who played JR's saintly brother Bobby Ewing was brief in his tribute: "My friend is taking a break. Pardon my silence. Love Patrick."

Ken Kercheval who was JR's sworn enemy Cliff Barnes said: "A friend and long time partner . . . the other half. RIP Larry Hagman . . . your spirit will live long."

Victoria Principal who played Bobby's equally-saintly wife Pam has said: "Larry was bigger than life, on screen and off. He is unforgettable, and irreplaceable, to millions of fans around the world, and in the hearts of each of us who was lucky enough to know and love him. Look out God, Larry's leading the parade."

Barbara Eden who rose to fame in the sixties opposite in Hagman in I Dream of Jeannie has also paid tribute. "Larry was the centre of so many fun, wild, shocking and in retrospect, memorable moments that will remain in my heart forever. Throughout various productions I had the pleasure of watching the Texas Tornado that was Larry Hagman.

"Amidst a whirlwind of big laughs, big smiles and unrestrained personality Larry was always, simply Larry. I can honestly say that we've lost not just a great actor, not just a television icon, but an element of pure Americana."

"It came as a huge relief to hear from her and I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. It was a really important call because it put a few unresolved issues to bed for me. Noel Gallagher may have relented to his wife Sara MacDonald by finally learning to how to drive but he says he plans to fail his test so he won't have to ferry his kids around.

MacDonald is insisting that he get behind the wheel so he can share some of the family duties by taking their two sons Donovan (5) and Sonny (2) to footie games.

But Gallagher has told chatshow host Alan Carr, "My lovely wife is insisting I take driving lessons. She said, 'Who is going to take the boys to the football? And I am like, 'Well you are.'

"But I have sussed it, you see. If I ever qualify for a test I will deliberately fail. I would rather be in the passenger seat. I would crash a lot of cars. I have had 40-odd years looking out of the window".

Forsyth on Jimmy Savile: "I never liked him"

Bruce Forsyth is the latest star to reveal his dislike for Jimmy Savile

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the Strictly Come Dancing host said he couldn't figure out the real nature of Savile, who has been the subject of many child abuse accusations in recent months.

"I never liked him. I can honestly say that. There was something about him that was difficult to like. It wasn't because he was so brash about everything - it wasn't that.

"He had this manner that you thought, 'What is behind this man?' Now we know what was behind it all - which is terrible to find out.

"I feel sorry for his family and the charity people that put so much trust in him. But of course he was making so much money."

84-year-old Forsyth defended the BBC for its part in the Savile scandal, saying that the corporation is not responsible for his actions at Broadmoor and at Leeds Royal Infirmary.

"The whole thing is too dreadful. It is unbelievably bad," he said. "He got into hospital and molested people. That is far worse than being in the BBC."

Sir Paul McCartney has also spoken about Sir Jimmy Savile, saying there was always "something suspect" about him.

Elton John supports little Lily-Mae

Elton John has lent his support to a cover version of his 1971 classic Tiny Dancer by a super group of Irish performers in aid of a four-year old Claregalway girl who has a rare form of childhood cancer.

A 300-strong chorus of singers and performers including Paddy Casey, Mary Black and Mundy have come together to support Lily-Mae Morrison who has Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare and extremely aggressive childhood cancer of the nervous system.

John has tweeted his support for the song and urged his followers to buy the single which was released on iTunes last night and has already hit No 1 in Ireland. A statement on John's official website says: "A beautiful version of Elton and Bernie (Taupin)'s song Tiny Dancer has been recorded in Ireland as a way to raise money for the care of Lily-Mae Morrison, a four year-old Irish girl who has neuroblastoma."

Now the people behind Tiny Dancer: A Song for Lily Mae want to keep the song at the top spot for Christmas.

The chorus of over 300 people were drawn, in the most part, from AIMS musical societies from all Ireland, to sing with artists including Casey, O'Rourke, Black, Mal Touhy of The Riptide Movement, Mundy, The Pale, John Spillane, Brian Hogan (Kila & Preacher's Son), Mickey Joe Harte, Tom Dunne, Camille O'Sullivan, and Lily-Mae's father, Leighton Morrison who like Lily Mae's mum, Judith Sibley, is a professional ballet dancer.

Hunted creator says show continues

It may have finished its run on BBC ONE - but Hunted creator Frank Spotnitz has confirmed that the series will continue without the BBC.

Last week the BBC was reported to have axed the Melissa George-starring spy drama, which completed its first season last (Thursday) night, but US co-producer Cinemax subsequently revealed that it would deliver a second season.

"This is the hazard of doing co-productions - it makes it complicated sometimes if you lose one of your partners," Spotnitz told Digital Spy.

"But we're going forward - it's sort of a spin-off of itself and it'll focus more squarely on the character of Sam Hunter. Hopefully it'll be on around this time next year."

The writer added that he "would very much expect" future Hunted episodes to air in the UK, adding that he has considered Sky - which already co-produces the series Strike Back with Cinemax - as a potential partner.

"It's occurred to me," he admitted. "I'm pretty confident that British viewers will get to see Sam Hunter as she continues."

Spotnitz also admitted that his initial plans for the second season of Hunted - which would have followed protagonist Sam to Berlin - were abandoned as a result of the BBC decision to drop the show.

"It's going to change - that [Berlin plot] was when we still had the BBC as a partner," he explained. "Now it's one of those funny things where it's the same character, but it's a different series.

"As it happens, from the way episode eight [of series one] ends, it actually makes it quite organic to launch off into a different series, but it's not the direction we would've gone in had we stayed with the BBC."

Hutchence biopic gets the go-ahead

Written By Unknown on Kamis, 22 November 2012 | 23.37

A Michael Hutchence biopic entitled Two Worlds Colliding has been given the green light.

Just A Man: The Real Michael Hutchence - a book written by Hutchence's sister and late mother - will be used as source material by provocative New York filmmaker Robert Galinsky.

Galinsky has said that he hopes to secure the blessing of Hutchence's family and the remaining members of Hutchence's band INXS.

"I chased the idea 12 years ago but there was so much litigation and family issues, it looked too harsh," Galinsky told Encore magazine.

"But recently I was made aware of Trevor Ray Field - who was good friends of [Michael's sister] Tina Hutchence - and he brought me the book.

"Over the course of the last month we negotiated the rights with Tina, and we hit the mark. I like music biopics to be about the person, not just sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.

"It's going to be a heartfelt, interesting project about a complex life, like Ray or Walk the Line."

Casting and the search for a director are both expected to get underway in the New Year.

Hutchence was found dead in a Sydney hotel room 15 years ago today (November 22nd). He was 37.

Downton's Violet will not be killed off

The creator of Downton Abbey has said that he has no plans to kill off Maggie Smith's character in the popular period drama.

Julian Fellowes added that even if Smith decided she wanted to leave the show that the Dowager Countess of Grantham would not die.

Speaking to the Sun he said "I'm happy to say the Dowager is not going to die. Violet is going to live by the sea in case Maggie changes her mind."

There had been speculation earlier this year that the character would die in the third series which has just aired on television but instead the family character who did die was Lady Sybil played by Jessica Brown Findlay.

Recent reports suggest that the programme-makers are coming close to signing a deal to make the fourth series with confirmation expected shortly.

Williams admits needing 'reassurance'

Robbie Williams has confessed that he constantly needs reassurance that his new music is up to scratch.

The Take That star's last solo single Candy shot straight to the top of the UK charts - but the 38-year-old told TV Times that he'd been bruised by the reception to some of his previous efforts.

"I need a second opinion, and a third, and a fourth, and a fifth," he said. "Especially since I've been so excited about other stuff in the past and then sometimes it's not been a hit with the audience.

"Anybody passing my house gets dragged in and I'll say, 'Sit down and listen to these four songs'.

"The dustbin man and the gardener sit in the studio looking confused, going, 'Yes it's brilliant, Mr Williams'."

He also admitted: "I drag everybody up there - it's really sad, ageing pop star stuff!"

Denzel Washington in movie pay cut

Hollywood star Denzel Washington has admitted to taking a pay cut to star in the movie Flight.

The 57-year-old also predicted that other film stars will have to follow suit.

In Flight he plays an alcoholic pilot flying under the influence in the film, made for a relatively low budget of $30 million.

He told AwardsLine: "The studio wanted to do it for a price, and we ended up with (about) $28 million, and (director) Robert Zemeckis made it look like $100 million, especially the plane sequence. So he and I threw our money back in the pot, took a tenth of our salaries."

He added: "What I think has changed a bit is maybe five or six years ago they might have given us a $50 million, $60 million budget, or more, but nowadays the studios are tightening their belts . . . and neither of us wanted to walk away from it, so we did it.

"The actors, at least the big actors, will have to make a decision: do you want to cut your fee and do something good, or are you just in it for the ($20 million salary)?"

The single-camera, documentary-style comedy follows Tom Chadwick (O'Dowd), whose loss of job and girlfriend coincides with his inheritance of a mysterious box which prompts him to investigate his family lineage.

Rubberbandits make UK TV debut

Danny Dyer gets a drubbing, Love/Hate star Laurence Kinlan sings and Father Ted actress Rose Henderson makes an appearance in The Rubberbandits' debut for Channel 4 next week.

Kinlan, who plays gangland patsy Elmo in Love/Hate, appears in a new Bandits video ridiculing British actor Dyer (watch it here). A 30-minute pilot from the Limerick duo airs on Channel 4 on November 30 as part of the station's new 4Funnies series and will feature new songs and sketches from the Limerick duo.

Channel 4 ordered a 30-minute pilot from Blind Boy Boat Club and Mr Chrome after the huge success of their online clips and their performances on three shorts for the station's Comedy Blaps which were aired last August.

The pilot was directed by Father Ted and Moone Boy director Declan Lowney and was made by Dublin outfit Sideline, making them the first Irish production company to have a scripted comedy commissioned by channel since Father Ted in the mid-nineties.

"It was a laugh making TV for the craic and tans, despite the fact that our cameras were haunted by the ghost of Dickie Harris," says Blind Boy Boat Club.

"We like to call the British the Craic and Tans now, because we've had so much fun performing for them. We're going to embrace the opportunity like a swan in need of help. It'll be musical but with lots of different characters."

The Bandits' rave notices in the UK have won them comparisons with Father Ted and New Zealand singing comedy duo Flight of the Conchords.

"It's a great honour to be compared to them," Boatboy has said. "But I try not to think about it because I don't need the pressure to try to be as good as Ted, that's impossible. It's like trying to be as good as The Beatles."

The comedy duo, who undertake more London shows next month, say they're surprised that their material travelled so well. "I went over thinking, they're not going to get the jokes but they started laughing exactly the same," says Boatboy.

"So that was a big eye-opener for us. We really love them, they're just like the Irish, except they're more used to seeing shows and not getting drunk and shouting. We're going to have to shock them with our minds, a bit of cleverness - Samuel Beckett- and Jimmy Joyce-style."

Big Bang Theory cast flashmob on set

Written By Unknown on Selasa, 20 November 2012 | 23.37

The cast and crew of US hit comedy The Big Bang Theory have taken part in a flashmob video on the show's set.

During filming of a recent episode of the CBS sitcom, the studio audience - as well as showrunners Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steve Molaro - were surprised with a sudden live dance routine to Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe.

The main cast members were sitting on the show's famous couch about to start a take when the summer pop hit began playing in the background.

Initially feigning confusion, the cast including Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Mayim Bialik (Amy) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) join with the crew members in the dance.

Johnny Galecki (Leonard) also eventually joins in, while Jim Parsons (Sheldon) remains standing in the background. But following the dance, Parsons utters Sheldon's catchphrase, "Bazinga".

The mastermind behind the stunt was Kaley Cuoco, who later posted the video on the show's official Facebook page. She wrote:

"This literally was the best night of my entire life. A special thanks to the cast and badass crew, for going all in, and making it a night to remember!"

The We Found Love singer invited 150 journalists and competition-winning fans to join her on her tour of seven countries in seven days.

However, several of the journalists were left angered over Rihanna's refusal to give interviews during the tour.

According to reports on Twitter, journalists were chanting phrases like "just one quote" and "I need a headline" while flying from Berlin to London, while an Australian journalist showed his annoyance by streaking naked through one of the jet's cabins while being filmed.

Guests on the trip have also complained that they have rarely seen the 24-year-old star, with The Sun reporting that she has been hidden away in her panic room.

The Where Have You Been singer has reportedly stacked up £200,000 (€248,546) worth of airport fines over the past week after continually delaying her departure between countries.

Meanwhile, Rihanna left 20,000 fans waiting at London's Westfield shopping centre in Stratford yesterday, after turning up an hour late to switch on the Christmas lights.

Corrie's Tina discusses surrogacy plot

Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has revealed that Tina McIntyre's boyfriend Tommy Duckworth will once again put pressure on her to pull out of her surrogacy deal as he is concerned about her health.

Tina is currently carrying a baby for Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), but Tommy insists that Tina should terminate the pregnancy.

Speaking to All About Soap, Keegan said: "Tina passes out, but is quite laid-back about things. However, Tommy's in a panic and he doesn't want Tina to be pregnant anymore because it's risking her health.

"They call Doctor Matt, Tina's ex - not awkward at all! They find out Tina's anaemic, which is quite common, but Tommy's worried."

When a surprised David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) recalls how Tina had an abortion during their own relationship, Tommy puts even more pressure on Tina.

Speaking of David's behaviour, Keegan added: "[Tina's] definitely not impressed. It was years ago, she was a lot younger then and wasn't ready to be a mum. Now that David's told Tommy about it, Tommy thinks abortion is an option, and Tina's very upset about it all."

Ella latest X Factor hopeful eliminated

Written By Unknown on Senin, 19 November 2012 | 23.37

16-year-old Ella Henderson became the latest person to be voted off The X Factor last night after finding herself in the bottom two in the public vote.

The teenager, who had been a strong favourite in the competition, found herself in the bottom two with another favourite James Arthur. Both singers received two votes each from the judges and the decision went to deadlock with Ella losing out.

Her mentor on the show, Tulisa Contostavlos, was emotional about the decision saying her exit was "absolutely ridiculous."

Controversial contestant Rylan Clark went safely through again last night with the crowd booing when it was revealed that Henderson and Arthur were in the bottom two.

Host Dermot O'Leary described the situation as "One of the biggest shocks we've ever had on the results show" while judge Louis Walsh said "I'm in shock. I thought these were two finalists."

Henderson who sang Daniel Bedingfield's If You're Not The One said she had really loved her time on the show while Contostavlos said "This is ridiculous. It's ridiculous. People did not vote. People thought she was safe."

Esposito anger at Blue Bloods exit

Jennifer Esposito has hit out at CBS after being dramatically cut from top cop drama Blue Bloods.

The actress - who plays Detective Jackie Curatola - suffers from Celiac disease and was placed "on a leave of absence" by the network, which judged her "unable to perform the demands of her role".

"What happened was ugliness," Esposito said last night (November 18) on Fox News Channel's FOX Files. "So many things of injustice that happen in this business. It's what you sign up for.

"This, though, is something that is not about me, I feel. This is about a disease that people don't understand. And what went on [here], it makes me sick."

Esposito previously revealed that - prior to her suspension from the show - CBS had refused to scale back her workload on Blue Bloods, which led to her collapsing on set.

"The [assistant director] came in and said, 'I'll get the medic', and we were like, 'There is nothing [to do], unless he can cure me of Celiac disease'," she said.

"They had to carry me into the car and bring me to the doctor, where I [was] for seven hours."

Kat Moon to reveal lover at Christmas

Written By Unknown on Minggu, 18 November 2012 | 23.37

EastEnders vixen Kat Moon is set to reveal the identity of her secret lover during the Christmas period to a packed Queen Vic.

Warning: spoiler alert!

Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, will reveal the man she has been having an affair with by accident when her husband Alfie (Shane Richie) lunges for one of the Branning brothers in the packed pub.

Daily Star Sunday quotes a source close to the production as saying: "It's the question that has been on everyone's lips for months - who is Kat's secret lover?"

"The big revelation was always going to be in the Queen Vic in front of everyone and it will not disappoint. Jessie and Shane are both brilliant and this is one episode viewers will not want to miss," the source added.

The tabloid reports that members of the production team have compared the emotional scenes to those 10 years ago between Jessie Wallace and Michelle Ryan, when Kat tells Zoe she is her real mother.

The husband and wife have recently opened up to each other, as Kat confessed her affair but insisted Alfie didn't know the man involved. As Alfie begins to work things out, he has a hunch that he knows the Branning responsible.

Fears for I'm a Celeb's Flanagan

After another creepy crawly ordeal for former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, more questions about her suitability for the show have been raised by her family, former co-stars and fellow contestants.

Flanagan, who suffers from panic attacks, decided that running on a giant hamster wheel infested with insects was not for her and shouted: "I really don't want to do this, please let me out, I'm freaking out. I'm really sorry, I want to get out now. It's really panicking me and I'm really, really sorry. I don't want to let anyone down, it's just really freaking me out.

"The whole thing is completely freaking me out because it's my fifth trial. I know it's only meal worms, it's really working me up and I don't want to put myself through it and get absolutely terrified. Honestly, I'm really scared."

Fellow contestant Eric Bristow said: "I don't know why you're in here if you don't like insects and bugs and animals and things like that and you come into a jungle. What did you think you were going to do in here, drink milkshakes?"

On Saturday's episode, Flanagan won a night in the show's pub, the Jungle Arms, after an acting performance, but questions about her suitability for the show have also been raised by her family and former co-stars.

Flanagan's mother Julia told The Sunday Mirror: "I was really worried about her going in there because it's not the nicest of environments at all. I tried to persuade her not to go, even the week before I said, 'Helen, you don't have to do this you know!' It's starting to feel like the voting public are pushing her too far."

Writing on Twitter, Kym Lomas, who plays Coronation Street's Michelle Connor, said: "I love Helen but I think we need to see someone else do a trial now. I want to see the trials being done anyway Don't you? It's best bit! X

"It's a bit unfair however for people to keep voting for Helen to do the trials, when we know what will happen, and then bitch about it?? X As Someone who knows her Maybe im a celeb is not the best show for hels to be in [sic]."

Co-star Charlie Condou tweeted: "When we heard Helen was going into the jungle at work, we all knew she wouldn't be able to do any trials. But she really doesn't have a bad bone in her body. Besides, as anyone who has suffered from panic attacks will know, there is nothing worse than irrational terror."

Corrie character plans to go on the run

Coronation Street fans have been told that a character in the soap decides to go on the run next week.

Warning: spoiler alert!

Daily Star Sunday says that Tyrone (Alan Halsall) decides that the only way out of his relationship with abusive partner Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) is to run away and take their child Ruby with him.

However, friend Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) discovers Tyrone's plans and rushes to the bus station to present him with an alternative: marry Kirsty.

A source told the paper: "Fiz begs Tyrone to reconsider. She explains that the best way to keep Ruby is to marry Kirsty as he will get parental responsibility of [sic] Ruby, giving him a father's rights".

"Whether or not she can persuade him to return home before Kirsty discovers what he's been up to remains to be seen."

Love not a part of Cobain documentary

Contrary to reports, Courtney Love is not involved in an upcoming Kurt Cobain documentary project, its director Brett Morgen has said.

A representative for Love told EW that Love has no part in the project, but is "very happy" Morgen is making it. "She thinks he's a great director," the rep added.

In a statement, Morgen said: "Back in 2007, I had a meeting in L.A. with Courtney Love to discuss my possible involvement in a Kurt Cobain documentary.

"She had seen my film, The Kid Stays in the Picture, and thought that I had the right vision and passion to bring Kurt's story to life. Since that time, I have been speaking exclusively with Kurt Cobain's estate, who have given me their full co-operation in order to make the film."

"Courtney isn't currently involved with the project in any capacity. The estate and I will be releasing more information about our plans in the coming weeks. Production on the film will begin in the coming months and we are aiming for a 2014 release," Morgen concluded.

At a press conference for his Rolling Stones documentary Crossfire Hurricane this week, Morgen said of the Cobain project: "We've been trying to find the right time to put this film together and the time is now... Kurt was not only an amazing songwriter and musician, he was an incredible artist and filmmaker. So we are going to do the movie sort of like a third-person autobiography - [as] if Kurt was around and making a film about his life."

Corrie's Price talks Nick and Leanne

Written By Unknown on Sabtu, 17 November 2012 | 23.37

It's been a long road for Coronation Street's Nick and Leanne, and the pair are seemingly about to get their happy ending, but actor Ben Price has said "it's going to be turbulent".

Warning: spoiler alert!

Speaking to Digital Spy, Price, who plays Nick, said that the pair genuinely love each other, but life gets in the way and circumstances are against them.

"Nick's feelings are also a bit mixed up," he explained. "Nick loves Leanne (Jane Danson), but he also hates Peter (Leanne's ex, played by Chris Gascoyne)! That means that he wants something that used to be Peter's, so it's partly an ownership thing for Nick. He likes to feel that he's top dog and that he's the winner."

Earlier this month, news broke that Nick and Leanne were set to become engaged and embark upon wedding plans after her divorce from Peter was finalised.

Leanne has a handful dealing with ex-husband Peter, his son Simon and his girlfriend Carla

Scheming Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), Leanne's half-sister, is still heartbroken over losing Nick to her estranged sibling and is set to cause ructions in Nick's relationship.

"Nick has definitely moved on and he sees Eva as a mate," Price said. "When Eva is giving him 'advice', Nick takes her at face value and it's only later that he sees things a bit differently."

With plans of marriage and Leanne as a mother figure to Peter's son, Simon, Price said that what keeps his character on the cobbles is his family, along with the prospect of starting his own.

"That's what Nick wants, but it's not going to happen - it's Coronation Street!" he said.

"It's going to be turbulent. The show is about characters pushing for the ideal, and then everything falls around you like a house of cards. That's what makes things exciting, and it should be interesting to see how far Nick will go to make this relationship work."

Price concluded by teasing: "Hopefully in the next few months, you'll see a slightly more ruthless and harder side to Nick. That's my thinking - these things go in cycles!"
