MacFarlane talks Family Guy movie

Seth MacFarlane has revealed that a Family Guy movie will definitely be produced in the future.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Family Guy creator told UCLA students this week that he already has an idea in mind for a potential big screen spinoff for the Griffins.

MacFarlane said: "It's just a matter of when. It's hard to do that while you have the series going on at the same time; I think that's why it took The Simpsons 20 seasons to figure out how to do it."

The 39-year-old screenwriter further explained that he wants the film to be different to that of 2007's The Simpsons Movie.

He added: "We do know what the Family Guy movie will be. The Simpsons Movie, I thought, was hilarious, but the one criticism I would have is that it's a story they probably could've done on TV. There could've been an episode that had that plotline."

He further pitched in: "That's the challenge with animation. You pretty much can do any story you want, so what is the reason for the movie? We finally hit on the answer to that question, and it will be something that would be impossible to do on TV."

Corrie star teases Peter Barlow return

Chris Gascoyne has teased his Coronation Street return, saying that his character Peter Barlow has "changed" during his time away.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Gascoyne said: "I do think [Peter's] changed. Being away was a good thing for him and he's in a much better place.

"He may got sucked into his old way of life now he is back in Weatherfield but at the moment he's fighting that temptation."

Speaking about his relationship with Carla, he added: "It's hard to put a finger on it, but you do get a sense that it's not quite as it should be. They're not 100% together with each other at the moment."

The 44-year-old actor further explained that his character is shocked to discover that Leanne is engaged, saying: "I think he wants the best for her and wishes her well, but I think he still does have deep feelings for her and believes she has feelings for him. I think Peter doubts whether Nick is truly the person Leanne should be with.

"But it does really boil down to Peter and his ego - he cannot stand to see Leanne wanting to marry Nick Tilsley, really."

Barlow wants to make Take That movie

Gary Barlow wants to bring the story of Take That to the big screen in a movie re-telling of their rise to fame.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Barlow said: "We've been offered musicals and talked about them for years but never a film. It is one of those stories ours, where if you wrote it down and gave it to someone they'd go, 'Well, it's a good story but it wouldn't come true'. It feels like 20 years of madness, but it is a good story."

When asked who would be in his dream cast, the 41-year-old singer added: "I'd definitely have James Cordon to play me - he's such a great bloke, I love him. Howard Donald always thinks he looks like Willem Dafoe, so that would be a good one. Jason Orange is a bit Brad Pitt. Who'd be Mark (Owen)? It'd be (British Tv presenters) Ant (MCPartlin) or Dec (Declan Donnelly), or you could even do both. And probably someone like Matt Damon should take on the role of Robbie Williams."

The Rule the World singer even admitted that he had a writer in mind, saying: "Someone British should definitely make it. I'm not that hot on films but I could see someone quite northern and funny coming up with it... Willy Russell, he's done plays but he's also done films. He's the sort of guy that would be great - I think we should get him to do it."

David Walliams wants 'normal' baby name

Written By Unknown on Jumat, 30 November 2012 | 23.37

British funnyman David Walliams has vowed to shun the celebrity trend for unusual baby names.

The Little Britain star and his model wife Lara Stone are preparing to become first-time parents, and the 41-year-old funnyman admitted that their baby won't be given an odd name.

Speaking to Alan Carr, Walliams said: "It's very hard because you have got a long time to think about it. But it's a bit of a curse if you're called Apple or Peaches or something like that. I think we are just going to go with a normal name."

Walliams further explained that he is thrilled about becoming a father, adding: "I'm really excited about it because I've been writing children's books and you get to that age when a lot of your friends have kids and you start thinking, 'When's it going to happen to me?' It's lovely, it's a wonderful thing. We were just thinking about it now we're married and I'm quite old - I'm 41 - so I thought I better get on with it."

He adds of his wife: "Lara is great. I think that a woman is never more beautiful than when she is pregnant."
