Four people were eliminated last night from MasterChef Ireland leaving just 12 fighting it out to win the title.
The final 16 were given the challenge by judges Dylan McGrath and Nick Munier to represent their personality on a plate. Once they had selected their ingredients however, they were ordered to swap them with somebody else's with some interesting results.
The four going home are Caitriona Nic Philibin, Dee Casey, Cathy Gerrard and Dani Quinlan.

Dani had a disaster when she overcooked the beef which was selected by fellow contestant Andy Spencer while cooking Chauteabriand with colcannon and fat chips. Caitriona made Thai soup with prawns but was criticised by the judges for making it too simple while Cathy cooked spiced chicken with citrus mango salsa but her presentation let her down. Afterwards she said while she loves cooking, she now thinks competitive cooking was not for her.
Dee who did attract compliments for her dish of steak with bubble and squeak cake felt she achieved what she came to do in the competition saying "I will never forget the comments about my audition - they used two words 'exquisite' and 'outstanding', and that says it all."
