Head Over Heels, the short animated movie from Irish producer Fodhla Cronin O'Reilly and American writer-director Timothy Reckart, is one of 10 films competing for inclusion in the Best Animated Short category for next year's Oscars.
Made for the National Film and Television School in the UK, the synopsis for the stop-motion Head Over Heels reads: "After many years of marriage, Walter and Madge have grown apart: he lives on the floor and she lives on the ceiling".
"When Walter tries to reignite their old romance, their equilibrium comes crashing down, and the couple that can't agree which way is up must find a way put their marriage back together."
Among Head Over Heels' many awards to date is the Cartoon Saloon Best First Animation Award at the Galway Film Fleadh.

The nominees for Best Animated Short will be announced at the Oscar nominations on January 10.
