Limerick comedy writer Conor Ryan has been nominated once again for the Los Angeles Comedy Festival Best TV Pilot Script Competition.

In 2011 he won with a script entitled Another Giant Leap, and was also a finalist in both the New York Television Festival FOX Comedy Pilot Script Contest and the Disney Writers Fellowship.

This time around he's in the final three contenders with The Brew House. The LA Comedy Festival is the largest comedy festival in the US and runs from November 1-11. The awards take place this Sunday (Nov 11th) in Los Angeles.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as a finalist in this competition," says Ryan. "I was thrilled when I won last year and to be chosen again is very encouraging.

"I took a major chance when I decided to pursue this as a career in 2008 and I'm very happy that I did.

"I got to study under some fantastic people including David Isaacs (The Simpsons, Cheers, Mad Men) and Jack Epps (Top Gun) which was a brilliant experience."
