Emeli Sandé walked away from the MOBO Awards last night the biggest winner as she scooped three awards.
The Scottish singer took home awards for Best Album, Best Female and Best R&B/Soul Act at the MOBOs last night, which were held in the Echo Arena in Liverpool and presented by Miquita Oliver and Adam Deacon.
The 25 year-old singer also opened the awards ceremony, dressed elegantly in a maroon satin top with black pencil skirt. Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Sandé said: "I really didn't expect to win three and getting the Album of the Year was a big thing for me, so I feel like all the hard work pays off when you get acknowledgement like that".

Sandé was also up for Best Video for My Kind Of Love and Best Song for Next To Me.

Plan B narrowly missed matching the singer as he took home awards in two of the four categories he was nominated in, Best Male and Best Hip Hop/Grime Act. Rita Ora flew back from the US just in time to pick up her first major award, for Best Newcomer.

Labrinth took home the award for best song, for his collaboration with Tinie Tempah on 'Earthquake'. X Factor stars Misha B and JLS also both attended and performed, with the latter picking up an award for Best Video.

Among the attendees were Rebecca Ferguson, Lenora Critchlow, Chelsee Healey and stars from The Only Way Is Essex, Geordie Shore and The Valleys.

T-Boz and Chilli from TLC were present to accept an award for Outstanding Contribution To Music. They were joined at the evnt by family members of former band member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, who was tragically killed in a car accident ten years ago in Honduras.

Newcomer act Stooshe performed a powerful cover of TLC's most iconic hit, Waterfalls, for the audience during the ceremony.

Other winners on the night included Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul and Zoe Rahman, while Dionne Warwick was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating her success over half a century in the music business.
