Casey Affleck joins Boston Strangler

Casey Affleck has joined the Boston Strangler project which Warner Bros has acquired based on the killing of 13 women in the early 1960s.

Deadline reports that the actor will executive produce and likely star in the film based on the infamous Boston serial killings.

The movie will centre around an ambitious detective who becomes caught up in the conspiracy over the conviction of the supposed murderer.

Affleck will next be seen in Ain't Them Bodies Saints and Out of the Furnace.
