Imelda May to headline 2013 Countdown Concert

Imelda May has been announced as the headline act for the New Year's Eve Dublin Countdown Concert.

Irish rockers Bell X1 are also set to perform at the event on December 31.

The special event will mark the start of The Gathering, a year-long tourism initiative aimed at attracting more visitors to Ireland.

There will also be a firework display and a 'People's Procession of Light' at the outdoor event at College Green.
