Helen Mirren is to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the New Year, it has been announced.
The renowned actress will received the honour during a ceremony at the famous landmark on Thursday, January 3.
Mirren's accolade will be the 2,588th star to be added to the Walk of Fame, which began in the 1950s.
Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame, said: "What a way to start the New Year on the Walk of Fame with one of the most acclaimed actresses known around the world.
"We are thrilled to honour Helen and welcome her to our Walk of Fame family."
Mirren can next be seen in the movie Hitchcock in which she plays the great director's wife, Alma Reville.
