A group of 4th class school children in Cork have recorded a special Christmas rap singing the praises of Santa Claus with local hip hop artist GMC aka Gary McCarthy.
Watch the clip here.
The Santa Anthem was recorded at one of GMC's Rap Workshops in Cork City's Scoil Iosagain, Farranree in November. The lyrics were written by the 4th class kids at the school and the music produced, recorded and mixed by GMC.
GMC and his young rappers have been involved with Music Generation Cork City programme and recently performed at the Cork City Hall as part of the Lullaby Concerts, featuring the acclaimed music documentary Ballymun Lullaby. Comedian Des Bishop also invited the schoolkids onstage to perform their rap at his recent show in the Cork Opera House.
