A movie version of HBO's Entourage has been given the official green light by Warner Bros.
Deadline reports that the comedy-drama series starring Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier will be directed by creator Doug Ellin.
Ellin has also written the screenplay, having previously exec-produced on the show with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.
Piven, Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara are currently negotiating deals to reprise their respective roles.
Ellin previously confirmed that the film will take place six months after the TV show ended in 2011.
"There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that's still the first page for me," he said.
"But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters."
