Hat-trick for Homeland at the Globes

At the Golden Globes on Sunday night, espionage series Homeland took the awards for Best Drama, Best Actress (Claire Danes) and Best Actor (Damian Lewis) in the TV categories.

The series, and Danes, also won the same awards at last year's Golden Globes.

Girls was named Best TV Series (Comedy or Musical), with creator and star Lena Dunham winning Best Actress (Comedy or Musical).

Don Cheadle was the winner of Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) for House of Lies.

Game Change was named Best Miniseries, while its stars, Julianne Moore and Ed Harris, won the Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie and Best Supporting Actor awards respectively.

Kevin Costner was named Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie for Hatfields & McCoys.

Maggie Smith was named Best Supporting Actress for Downton Abbey.

The 2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet Special is on RTÉ Two tonight, Monday January 14, at 8:05pm.

The awards ceremony follows on RTÉ Two at 9:00pm.
