The Tralee Institute of Technology students who have received the backing of Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino for their spoof of the movie have said they will have a sequel ready next week.
After seeing the spoof clip on The Graham Norton Show last week, which features Pulp Fiction stars John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson dubbed with Kerry accents, Tarantino gave the students permission to redub the entire movie.
The spoof, Pulp Fiction Kerry Shtyle, began life as part of a music technology class and has now been watched over 300,000 times on YouTube.
Speaking to RTÉ News reporter Sandra Hurley, one of its creators, Eoin O'Leary, said: "To have it actually watched by Quentin Tarantino himself is just madness; I never would've thought that could have possibly happened."
Co-creator David Williams credited their lecturer, Bob Jackson, with playing a major role in the spoof's success.
"In fairness to Bob, he was the one coming in telling us, 'More Kerry, more Kerry, more Tralee' - just to get it really sounding hilarious," he said.
