Kimberley Wyatt has disclosed her scepticism of fellow Got to Dance judge Aston Merrygold and his credentials.
The former Pussycat Dolls star has been on the panel of Sky's reality dancing competition since 2009, alongside choreographer Ashley Banjo.
Lead singer of X Factor runner-up group JLS, Merrygold joins the panel this year to replace Adam Garcia.
"I didn't know what to expect from Aston. I was unsure what he would bring to the panel as a judge," Wyatt told The Daily Star.
The professional dancer continued: "As we got started I realised he has a great perspective. He is successful at performing to thousands of people and is self-taught."
"He surprises me with a lot of the feedback he gives," Wyatt explained. "I'm like, 'Yes, I totally agree'."
Last year, Irish stepdance group Prodijig won the series. The group, led by Alan Kenefick, will begin a two-week stint in Dublin's Olympia Theatre this April with their show Footstorm, before touring the UK.
Got to Dance returns for a new series on Sky1 tonight, Sunday January 6, at 6:00pm.
