Babe star James Cromwell has been arrested at a Wisconsin animal rights protest.
According to The AP Cromwell - most recently seen in Ryan Murphy's spooky American Horror Story - and another activist allegedly interrupted a University of Wisconsin Board of Regents meeting on Thursday (February 7th).
Cromwell and the other person declared their opposition to animal testing at the meeting and held up an image - allegedly of the university's Madison lab - of a cat with metal implanted in its head.
Claims of animal testing at the university have been denied by the institution's administration.
Police broke up the protest and arrested Cromwell and his fellow activist for a misdemeanour disorderly conduct.
Cromwell has long been an animal rights activists, having worked with PETA to better the treatment of pigs and has also been a proponent for more progressive global environmental policy.
He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Babe and also earned a SAG Award nomination for LA Confidential.
