Colin Farrell is closing a deal to star as a serial killer opposite Anthony Hopkins in the thriller Solace.
Deadline.com, which broke the story, says the film follows an FBI agent (role yet to be cast) who enlists the help of a retired and troubled doctor (Hopkins) to solve a series of murders.
Production on Solace is due to begin in May.
The film will be directed by Brazilian director Afonso Poyart.
