Good Friday lives up to its name when it comes to TV - if we can't eat meat today at least we can feast are eyes on some hearty cook-ups in the Come Dine With Me Kitchen...
Come Dine With Me, 8pm Channel 4
Practical jokes and less practical cooking are the name of the game in Middlesbrough. Beautician Fay Khatri serves up an East African menu to guests, including Peter Watkins, who refers to himself as the Simon Cowell of the culinary world. But does he have 'The X Factor' in the kitchen? Then there's Kelsey Brown, who tries to encourage her guests to perfect their catwalk pouts. And party boy Dan Senior, who also likes to call himself the 'Bantersaurus Rex'. Not to be missed! Tonight's episode will certainly whet your entertainment appetite.
Six in the City, 11.25pm RTÉ Two
If you're looking for a bit of a giggle - then sit back and relax as you really are in for a treat with Six in the City. As we revisit the first in the series of the Format Farm show, viewers are introduced to three socially incompatible couples, who compete to show each other the ultimate night out in Limerick, Galway and Dublin. The first episode features Naas couple Deborah Reynolds and Sam Stone, Belfast couple Aaron and Justine Watson and Galway couple Mona and Ron.
The three nights include a ghost bus tour, trad music, pottery lessons and the obligatory singing to guests in underwear! It all adds up to a reality TV comedy of manners as the couples terrorise each other with their hilariously mismatched social agendas. As nights out progress, strained politeness turns to incredulity, incredulity to annoyance, annoyance ratchets up into anger and anger to all out war!!
Aniar Aduaidh, 7:30 pm RTÉ One
And so we say thank you for the music! In the final part of her musical journey, Atlan's Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh travels to 2013 City of Culture. Derry, to find out about its rich and varies musical legacy. Mairéad once again takes time out of her busy touring and recording schedule to explore some of the North's most attractive spots and to visit some of her musical friends, who take her to the heart of Ulster's thriving music scene. The best is certainly saved until last in this poignant series and is a wonderful way to reel in the Easter weekend!
