Ahead of the release of new music documentary Good Cake Bad Cake The Story of Lir, band members Dave McGuinness and Ro Byrne perform one of their most-loved songs live at The Factory for RTÉ Ten.
Lir, who formed in the Dublin suburb of Donaghmede in the late eighties were the nearly men of Irish rock - loved by their fans, hated by the critics and misunderstood by the music industry.
Irish director Shimmy Marcus spent six years making Good Cake Bad Cake The Story of Lir, a rock biopic with a difference telling the happy, sad and touching story of a band who struggled through industry hassle, personal upheaval and a near-death experience to keep making music together.
The documentary premieres at 7:30pm on March 20th in The Sugar Club, Dublin. The film will then be screened from the March 21st until the 24th in The Factory, 35a Barrow Street, Grand Canal Dock.
