The winner of the Meteor Choice Music Prize for the Irish Album of the Year will be announced in Dublin's Vicar Street tonight, Thursday March 7, and you can watch the show and live performances by the nominees on RTÉ TEN from 7:30pm.
The nominees and performing acts are:
Wallis Bird
The Cast of Cheers
Adrian Crowley
Delorentos
Damien Dempsey
Julie Feeney
Heathers
Mumblin Deaf Ro
Windings
The 10th nominee, former winners Two Door Cinema Club, are on tour and will not be performing in Vicar Street.
The winning act will receive €10,000, provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA).
All shortlisted acts will receive a specially-commissioned award, courtesy of IMRO and IRMA, while Culture Ireland will fund the attendance of key overseas delegates at the show.
