Heroes writer Bryan Fuller has said that he is still interested in the idea of bringing Star Trek back as a television series.
Fuller, who also penned Pushing Daises and Dead Like Me, said that he would jump at the chance if offered the task of reviving the show on the small screen.
"I would love to if I had the opportunity. Star Trek is under JJ Abrams at the moment," he said at the UK launch of his latest show, Hannibal.
"He's doing a wonderful job and I can't wait for Into Darkness. So I think he's got that territory covered. [But] if they offered it to me [on TV] I'd jump on the trolley and start ringing the bell."
Fuller previously worked as a writer on the Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine shows.
His new TV series Hannibal launched on NBC in the US earlier this month and arrives soon on UK satellite channel Sky Living.
