Marlee Matlin reaches out to Cory Monteith

Switched at Birth actress Marlee Matlin has reached out to Glee star Cory Monteith as he seeks treatment for substance addiction issues.

The 47-year-old star, who previously checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in California to overcome a drug problem, took to her Twitter page to give 30-year-old Monteith some words of wisdom.

Matlin posted: "(My) thoughts (are) with Corey Monteith (sic) from glee (sic)... It's (a) tough road to get well, but having been there, I know it's worth it."

Monteith has been open about his drink and drug habit in the past, revealing in 2011 that he had previously checked into rehab when he was 19-years-old.
