Playbook cast and director to reunite

Director David O Russell is reuniting the majority of his Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook cast for another movie.

Robert DeNiro has been speaking about the movie, which sees him teaming-up once again with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

Originally titled American Bulls**t, it tells the tale of the FBI's Abscam sting operation that uncovered political corruption in US East Coast cities during the 1970s.

"My character is a guy who comes in and represents the whole gambling thing, trying to help them work it out," De Niro told Empire.

"Unwittingly, he's also being used. He's legitimate, in that he can do casinos, but he's also connected to the underworld.

"It's the story of how the government prosecutor went after federal politicians. They were taking bribes to allow the legalisation of gambling in New Jersey."
