The trailer for a new documentary about the rise and fall and rise again of iconic Manchester band The Stone Roses has gone online.
Guardian.co.uk is screening the promo here.
Featuring unseen archive footage including their slow, painful split in the early to mid nineties, The Stone Roses: Made of Stone follows the band as they announce their reunion, rehearse for their first tour in more than 15 years and play three sell-out homecoming gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park last summer.
Made by Shane Meadows, the acclaimed director of This is England and a lifelong fan of the band, the film opens on June 5th across Ireland and the UK and will premiere in Manchester on May 30th, with the band making an appearance alongside Meadows and producer Mark Herbert.
The band headlined the Coachella Festival in California over the weekend and are due to play a string of dates this June in London's Finsbury Park, Glasgow and a headliner at The Isle of Wight Festival.
With concert organisers Festival Republic applying to Kildare County Council for permission to hold an event at Punchestown Racecourse on August 2nd, 3rd and 4th with "an anticipated" audience of 50,000, The Roses at Oxegen rumours should go into overdrive now.
