Eddie Izzard says that he's an action boy transvestite and that his female friends very rarely ask if they can borrow anything from his impressive wardrobe of outfits.
Speaking to RTÉ Ten, the comedian, who plays Irish dates at the end of May, said: "I suppose there are people who are really into clothes who might want to borrow some of my stuff but that's more of a girlie thing. I'm more of an action boy transvestite.
"I'm more tom boy so I do what I can to get certain looks together - boy looks and girl looks. Heels and eyeliner and fingernails so it's a bit of a mix and match thing so nobody is fighting over my clothes."

Izzard, who lived in Bangor, Co Down for five years as a child, also said that he's always felt an affinity with Irish humour.
"I used to have freckles, very strong freckles and I have red hair so I always felt I had Celtic genetics within me," he said. "I have strong links with the Irish and the Scottish sense of humour. I feel there is an affinity there."
The British comic was also an early supporter of Dublin's Comedy Cellar, the club which took place upstairs in the city's International bar and which was the spawning ground for Ardal O'Hanlon, Barry Murphy, Kevin Gildea, and Dermot Carmody.
Izzard is about to undertake Force Majure, the longest comedy world tour of all times with dates across the globe from Croatia to Cornwall.
He plays Belfast's Odyssey Arena on May 25th and Dublin's o2 on May 26th.
