New RTÉ series The Hit are on the hunt for song-writers who are looking to kick-start their career and work with top industry professionals.
The show, which originated as part of RTÉ's Format Farm project, will feature five-time Grammy-award winning producer Steve Lillywhite who has worked with U2, Talking Heads, Beady Eye and XTC among many others.
Speaking about the show, he said: "The Hit is a show that puts the song centre stage where it should be. As any artist will tell you: a great song can change a career overnight"
Interested songwriters should complete the application form available here and send it together with a copy of their song lyrics to thehit@vipmg.tv
Don't forget to send an mp3 or mp4 recording of your song (or a link to where the song can be streamed/downloaded) before the closing date of Friday, May 24th 2013.
