An estimated 35,000 people are making their way to Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick this evening for the first of Bruce Springsteen's sold-out Irish concert dates.

Springsteen will kick off the Irish leg of his Wrecking Ball tour at the famous Limerick rugby ground at around 7:00pm tonight.

The concert in Limerick has brought a mid-season tourism boost, with many of the hotels in the city booked out, as thousands of fans have travelled from abroad for the show.

Springsteen will also play on Thursday July 18 at Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh and at the King's Hall in Belfast on Saturday July 20, before concluding his Irish tour with two concerts at Kilkenny's Nowlan Park on Saturday July 27 and Sunday July 28.
