The singer and actress gave birth to baby boy Ace Knute Johnson, her representative confirmed to People.
Simpson and Johnson are already parents to daughter Maxwell, who turned one in May.
Simpson let slip she was having a boy during a March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, when she spoke about suffering from nausea during her current pregnancy,
She said: "The crazy thing is, I never knew a wiener could actually make me nauseous. Well I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy!"
The couple are reportedly planning to marry shortly after the birth, after getting engaged in 2010.
They postponed their original wedding after discovering that Simpson was pregnant last year.
