Warner Brothers have reportedly offered Christian Bale $50 million to reprise his role as the Dark Knight in the planned Batman vs Superman movie but he isn't budging on his refusal to don the cape again.
Bale (39) has previously said that appearing in the movie would be 'greedy'.
"We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That's enough. Let's not get greedy." he said.
"Chris [director Christopher Nolan] always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying, 'We're about to make the third'.
"We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.'
Rumours of his return started after the appearance of Vince Russel's new eBook Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight DiIlemma, which claims Bale is under "extraordinary pressure" to return opposite Man of Steel star Henry Cavill.
Following Bale's refusal to return, Orlando Bloom, Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling have all been mentioned as the possible new Batman in the movie which is set for a 2015 cinema release.
