Bradley Cooper is in talks to play Lance Armstrong in a Warner Bros film about the cyclist's life.
Deadline reports that the Silver Linings Playbook star is in talks about joining the movie as a producer as well as taking a starring role in the project.
Cooper would play either the lead role of Armstrong or Tyler Hamilton, Armstrong's former teammate who was part of his inner circle on the US Postal Service Team. Hamilton later implicated Armstrong in the doping scandal during a 60 Minutes appearance.
The film, which is set to be called Red-Blooded American, is intended to be fast-tracked toward production.
There are currently a few films in production about the rise and fall of the seven-time Tour De France champion.
Working title is working on a biopic from director Stephen Frears which will star Ben Foster as the disgraced cyclist.
Meanwhile JJ Abram's Bad Robot Productions has acquired the rights to Juliet Macur's upcoming book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong.
