Ashton Kutcher has described his role as the late Apple boss Steve Jobs a "great privilege".

Ashton Kutcher has described his role as the late Apple boss Steve Jobs a "great privilege".

The actor plays the much-loved and respected Apple innovator in Joshua Michael Stern's fllm Jobs, which dramatises the life led by Jobs between 1971 and 2000.

Kutcher told E! Online that the project allowed him to indulge his passion for business, saying: "For me, the idea of playing Steve Jobs, it was somebody who I admire and respect for his innovation and creation - that was an honour.

"It was also an opportunity to spend three months studying how to be an innovator, how to build a successful business, how to be an entrepreneur, which is something that I'm really passionate [about] and interested in. So it was a great privilege really."

Jobs will be released on August 16 in the US, but an Irish release date has yet to be announced.
