I Draw Slow, The Hot sprockets, North Strand Kontra Band The Eskies and The Cujo Family are among over 100 acts playing The Jack of Diamonds Rhythm and Roots Festival in Dublin on the weekend of August 16 to 18.
I Draw Slow, The Hot sprockets, North Strand Kontra Band, The Eskies and The Cujo Family are among over 100 acts playing The Jack of Diamonds Rhythm and Roots Festival in Dublin on the weekend of August 16 to 18.
The bands will play across 13 of the capital's music venues and bars including Whelans, The Grand Social, The Workmans Club, Sweeneys and The Button Factory during the free festival which takes its name from Rory Gallagher's rendition of English folk song The Cuckoo.
Jack of Diamonds Rhythm & Roots Festival will feature nearly 500 Irish and independent nmusicians and aims to showcase he best folk, blues, trad, rockabilly and roots the country has to offer.
This year, festival organisers have chosen to support FOCUS Ireland as their charity of choice and are encouraging all gig goers to make a donation to the charity in return for the free festival, which is being run in association with O'Hara's Irish Craft Beers
