Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has addressed reports claiming that he will appear in Star Wars Episode 7.
The 37-year-old actor has insisted that "no offer" has been made for Star Wars Episode 7.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Cumberbatch said: "This is the simple truth. JJ and I have worked together before. I would love to work with him again."
He added: "No offer has been made. That is that. And that is that!"
Alex Pettyfer and Rachel Hurd-Wood are believed to have auditioned for roles in the epic space franchise.
Star Wars Episode 7 is expected to be released in December 2015.
