The Great Irish Bake Off host Anna Nolan has said that her hiatus from TV presenting was intentional and that she didn't want to "keep on knocking on doors".
Speaking to Brendan O'Connor on The Saturday Night Show on RTÉ One, Nolan said: "Yeah, I suppose it was [intentional]. Around five or six years ago I presented The Afternoon Show and had moved on to Would You Believe - the documentary series."
She continued: "Then the work just stopped coming in, so I had to make a decision, 'Do I want to keep on knocking on doors or should I go in to production?'"
She added: "It was kind of a decision that I stopped presenting and presenting stopped coming to me."
Nolan's decision to get involved in production has seen her working on Operation Transformation and Room to Improve.
