Claire Danes has revealed that she relies on her husband's advice to keep her out of therapy.
The Emmy-winning Homeland star says that her partner, British actor Hugh Dancy, encourages her to rest rather than turn to therapy every time she is suffering from emotional problems.
Danes, who has nine-month old son Cyrus with Dancy, explained to Vogue magazine: "That British reserve is so welcome. I come from the land of therapy and love it, therapy is great, but Hugh really helped me discover that, a lot of the time, I'm just tired.
"I don't have to go through this labyrinthine explanation, there doesn't have to be that much back story. I can just be in need of a nap."
The actress also spoke about becoming a mother, saying that it was difficult at first.
She explained: "Being a new mom is quite isolating to begin with. I was literally without any of my family or friends or resources. So it was a tough entry into motherhood. It's so wonderful, but those first three months are so disorientating. I was in a bubble. A very cold bubble."
Danes added: "My real anxiety was that I would never want to work again. Because [motherhood is] so intoxicating, the bond is just so viscous. It's like superglue."
