David Norris shaves beard for charity

Written By Unknown on Selasa, 22 Oktober 2013 | 23.37

As part of a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society, Senator David Norris has shaved off his beard for the first time in 40 years.

Senator Norris and his barber Tony MacMichael of Sheppard's Barber on Wicklow Street were guests on the Ray D'Arcy Show on Today FM today [Tuesday] when the Senator said he would keep his promise to shave his beard if the public voted against the referendum to abolish the Seanad and would raise money for the Irish Cancer Society in the process.

All monies raised will go to Today FM's Shave or Dye campaign benefiting the Irish Cancer Society, 50% of which will be allocated to Professor John Crown's Cancer Research Trust.

People can donate €2 by texting SHAVE to 50300 or can sponsor Senator Norris on his www.mycharity.ie page.
