The star of TV crime drama The Fall, Jamie Dornan has been tipped to replace Charlie Hunnam in Fifty Shades of Grey.
The former Calvin Klein model could be set to play Christian Grey in the much-anticipated screen adaptation of El James' best-selling book.
Since Sons of Anarchy star Hunnam dropped out of the film over the weekend, speculation has been rife about who will play opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
Other Irish actors who are also being linked to the film are Cillian Murphy and Colin Farrell.
Meanwhile Oscar-nominated screenwriter Patrick Marber, who penned Closer and Notes on a Scandal has signed up to adapt the script for the big screen.
