Galway's Druid Theatre Company has renamed its Druid Lane Theatre the Mick Lally Theatre as a tribute to the late actor.
The auditorium will serve as a permanent reminder of Mick Lally's association with Druid and his love of the stage.
The actor founded the company in 1975 alongside Garry Hynes and Marie Mullen, and he appeared in many Druid productions until his final appearance in 2009.
Mullen said of the dedication: "It keeps Mick alive in our hearts as we go on with our work."
Mick Lally, who was best known for playing Miley on Glenroe, passed away in August 2010.
