Fox has ordered a new animated comedy from Family Guy writers Mark Hentemann and Seth MacFarlane.
Bordertown is about two families living in a fictitious southwestern desert town on the USA-Mexico border and focuses on the intertwining lives of neighbours Bud Buckwalk and Etnesto Gonzales.
Bud is a Border Patrol agent who feels threatened by the cultural changes that have transformed his neighbourhood, while Etnesto is a Mexican immigrant who is proud to be making it in America.
Hentemann and MacFarlane will also serve as the show's executive producers, while Family Guy's Alex Carter and American Dad's Dan Vebber join the project as co-executive producers.
Fox recently ordered a full series of MacFarlane-written comedy Dads, which stars Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi.
