Bob Odenkirk has opened up on the Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul.
The series, which is based around Walter White's lawyer Saul Goodman, will be written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, AMC announced last September.
Odenkirk told Access Hollywood of his new show: "I've got the best writers in Hollywood. Maybe it's prequel? Maybe it's sequel? Maybe it's both? They're talking about mixing it up."
He added: "You may see a little of before [Breaking Bad], and a little of after. We'll see… I do feel pressure. I feel a lot of pressure to do a good job.
"I don't think you can keep Breaking Bad going. It ended. And it was great. And it was what it was. This is going to be something new. But since it's so much of the same team, it's going to be a quality piece of work.
"I just want to bring all I can bring to it, and be completely focused."
Odendirk said of working on Breaking Bad: "We had a lot of fun. We had wonderful people too. Bryan Cranston set the tone [by saying], 'We're here to work'."
He continued: "Aaron Paul is a very sweet person. [The cast are] funny people too… It was just a great group who were thankful to be in a great show."
Better Call Saul is scheduled to debut on AMC in the US next year.
