Pogues are specialised topic on Mastermind tonight

The Pogues are among the specialised chosen topics on tonight's episode of Mastermind on BBC Two.

Host John Humphrys will invite one of the four contestants onto the fabled leather chair to answer questions on the London/Irish band who are led by Shane MacGowan. And yes, our spies tell us that Shane will, indeed, be watching.

The Irish interest doesn't end there on tonight's show - Dublin-born Unionist leader Edward Carson is also a topic. The other categories are military aircraft of the First World War and the novels of Jonathan Coe.
