Wet Wet Wet on The Late Late Show

We cheered in the Ten offices when the call came through to tell us that Wet Wet Wet have been confirmed to perform on The Late Late Show tonight.

Marti Pellow, Tommy Cunningham, Graeme Clark and Neil Mitchell are about to release a new best of album, featuring three brand new tracks - their first in over five years.

Step By Step - The Greatest Hits' will be available from November 25 and includes Wishing I Was Lucky and Julia Says alongside the never-before-heard Sad Kinda Love, Playin' Like A Kid and Step By Step.

Speaking recently about their new material bassist Graeme Clark said: "We felt that in order to move forward we had to create new music - new songs that would sit comfortably alongside our iconic Greatest Hits.

"Writing these new songs was an awakening for us all, a re-connection, allowing us to let the conscious and the soul of Wet Wet Wet sing out loud again."

Wet Wet Wet will play the O2 in Dublin, with support from Blue in December 5. There are still some tickets available at www.ticketmaster.ie
