Brad Pitt has filmed a cameo for Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum's follow-up to 21 Jump Street.
The 50-year-old award winning actor, will play himself as a university librarian, in what is reported to be a very funny and off beat scene.
Pitt was persuaded by Hill to make the quirky appearance after the pair became good friends during the filming of Moneyball in 2011.
The sequel to 21 Jump Street sees hapless cops Jenko (Tatum) and Schmidt (Hill) continue their undercover work on a college campus.
In an attempt to blend in with their fellow students Jenko joins the football team while Schmidt becomes part of the art clique as they try to crack their case.
During their investigation the pair stumble upon Pitt inside the campus playing himself as a low-paid librarian.
The talented star then purposefully does some dodgy acting that doesn't go un-noticed by the two undercover cops.
An insider revealed to RadarOnline.com: "The scene is very funny and the guys had a great time doing it.
"Brad was a great sport and the producers were thrilled that he took part."
Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller 22 Jump Street also stars rapper Ice Cube and newcomer Amber Stevens and is due be released next summer.
