Steve Peacocke's long-term girlfriend is set to join the cast of Home and Away.
Peacocke, who plays Brax on the Australian soap, has been dating Bridgette Sneddon since they met in drama school almost a decade ago and it has now been announced she will join the show.
The Herald Sun reports that her character, Sophie, will be a newcomer to Summer Bay but she has a connection to the area and that's what will bring her to town.
The 28-year-old said she is excited to work alongside her boyfriend, "It's been odd not seeing each other in the last years after working together so much [in drama school]. I've just seen how much he loves his job and loves going up to Palm Beach.
"If he could do this job for the rest of his life, he'd be a happy man. He's just excited I get to experience that and likewise, I'm thrilled to be doing it."
