We've tracked Cheryl Cole down and found out what she has been up to since Girls Aloud split early this year – she's got a new job as a barmaid in the Rover's Return!
Ok, so it may not be a permanent and full-time position, but The Fight for this Love hitmaker will be rocking up to Weatherfield over the festive period, for a special once-off appearance on the soap.
In a sketch specially written to raise money for ITV's charity appeal, Text Santa, scriptwriters have penned a storyline that sees Cheryl arrive on the Street and head for the Rovers Return, looking for her childhood friend, barmaid Tina.
According to a soap insider Cheryl thinks she is picking up Tina so they can travel to Newcastle together for her mum's Christmas party, but this is soapland and nothing ever goes according to plan.
The special episode, called Fairytale of Weatherfield, will also feature several other guest appearances, including Shane McGowan from The Pogues.
The Text Santa Corrie special will air on December 20.
