Will Ferrell rules out Elf sequel

Will Ferrell has ruled out the chances of a sequel being made to the Christmas favourite, Elf.

Ferrell starred in the 2003 Christmas comedy opposite James Caan and New Girl star Zooey Deschanel.

Speaking on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, he was asked about the possibility of reprising the role of Buddy, the man raised by Santa's elves, he said "Absolutely not."

He said "It would look slightly pathetic if I tried to squeeze back into the Elf tights."

Ferrell can currently be seen as Ron Burgundy in the Anchorman sequel The Legend Continues.
