X Factor's Luke Friend is sent home

Luke Friend was voted into third place in last night's X Factor Semi-Final leaving Nicholas McDonald to battle it out with Sam Bailey in tonight's grand finale.

Friend give an impressive performance with Ellie Goulding on stage however it wasn't impressive enough to keep the big-haired popular guy in the competition.

Bailey sang a duet with Nicole Scherzinger and they both turned on their inner diva for their rendition of And I'm Telling You.

Next up was McDonald who sang with former Westlife star Shane Filan and together they gave a slick, smooth performance of Flying Without Wings.

However tonight is the night to find out who will be crowned as the winner of The X Factor 2013.
