Zayn Malik's mum Trisha Malik has claimed that her son and Perrie Edwards are planning to tie the knot by the end of 2014.
The One Direction heartthrob popped the question to the Little Mix star in August.
Speaking to the BBC, Trisha Malik said: ''Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her."
She continued: ''They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet.''
She added: ''If they have children I wouldn't like to be so far away from them. I would really like to still be part of their lives.''
When asked how she will spend Christmas, Trisha Malik replied: ''I will cook the dinner. Perrie and her mother will be there and we'll open presents, play games and stuff our faces.''
