Maura Derrane: "I forget that I'm pregnant"

Today show co-host Maura Derrane has said she "forgets" she is pregnant "most of the time," and says she's "feeling really good."

Speaking to the RTÉ Guide, the 43-year-old presenter said: "I'm actually feeling really good, apart from heartburn. I actually forget that I'm pregnant most of the time, to be totally honest!

"There's definitely movement and that feels really weird when it happens for the first time, but when you're pregnant all these little feelings and movements mean so much."

Derrane, who stars on the cover of this week's Guide with her Today co-host, expectant father Dáithí Ó Sé, added that her husband, TD John Deasy, is "over the moon" about the baby news: "I think he's going to be an amazing dad; he's very different from me, he's much quieter and a deep thinker. I'm not like that!

I can imagine him being very good - his calm demeanour is going to be needed!"
