Written By Unknown on Jumat, 14 Maret 2014 | 23.37

Underground cinema, in association with the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company, will launch Dublin's first drive-in cinema this bank holiday weekend.

The drive-in will hold 80 cars and there will be two screenings each evening; a family friendly film at 7pm and a more mature screening at 9pm. The event will open with Grease tomorrow, March 15, with Jaws showing later on that night. The drive-in runs throughout the St. Patrick's Day weekend and again on March 29 and 30.

Classics such as Back To The Future, The Usual Suspects, Alien and The Commitments will also be screened as well as some more modern family favourites Despicable Me 2 and Monster's University.

Paul Ward, manager of the new Underground Cinema Drive-In said of the event, "It's a good news story for Dun Laoghaire. We believe that the Drive-In Cinema will bring lots of people and families to the town over the Bank Holiday weekend. Ticket sales so far have been excellent with people booking from all over the country."
