Kylie Minogue quitting The Voice UK

Kylie Minogue is exiting The Voice UK after just one series, it has been revealed.

The popstar is quitting the show as filming of the next series will clash with her upcoming tour.

She told The Mirror: "I'm touring this year and the timings wouldn't work. We started filming in November last year for the show and this year I'm on tour in September, October and November."

Minogue also admitted that filming on the show has taken an emotional toll.

She added: "Being on the show is a huge commitment. I have loved it although there have been parts which have been really difficult, too taxing and emotional.

"You can't second guess yourself. You deal with a lot of decisions and emotions."

When asked if she would return to the reality show if the dates were moved, Minogue replied: "I would have to think about it really seriously as I did for this season."

The Voice live shows kick off tonight (March 22) on BBC One at 6.45pm.
